Bill Dewey then gave out Chapter Service awards and pins to the guilty parties. Bill then talked about the joint Chapter 31-1457 Christmas party that was held at the clubhouse on December 14th. 28 people attended and the ornaments were sold at the end. The club made about $85 profit from the event, with $232.50 delivered by Gary to the Secretary for deposit. It worked so well that there are already plans for next year!!
Bill Dewey mentioned previously that he has been president for a number of years, and would like to step down at the end of the year. The group agreed to open up nominations for the next President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer at the November meeting, and vote at this meeting. The nominees were Gary Ludeke and John Kuehl (winner will be President 2nd place VP) and Randy Stout (for Secretary/Treasurer). The 2 Presidental candidates then got up and outlined their platforms. Gary was for getting more local involvement and promoting the breakfast more along with a chicken in every pot. John said something about pot that I didn’t catch and they both agreed that we need a good program for every meeting. The ballots were distributed and counted. Gary Ludeke won, with John to be VP (then President in 2 years). Randy Stout was re-elected by a narrow margin.
Secretary Stout mentioned that dues are due again. It is still $25 made out to EAA Chapter 31. You can give it to him or send it to 86277 Panorama Rd., Springfield, OR 97478
