EAA Chapter 31 Meeting, November 4th, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was no dinner portion of the meeting, but we did have\na pledge of allegiance at the 6:59 PM start of the meeting. President Pat\nDodson, V.P. Rod Johnson and Secretary\/ Treasurer Randy Stout as officers were\npresent. There were 13 Members in attendance along with Shelly the airport Manager.\nThe business portion of the meeting was called then to order. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Pat noted that we are not planning a Christmas\nmeeting this year due to Covid concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bill Dewey spoke about the memorial garden that the club has\nbeen working on for the last year or so. They laid bricks and gravel this week.\nShelly asked if we could include the downtown Veterans Memorial in our area,\nand after some discussion it was decided that another area near by would be\nmore appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taxi-lane project completed, just working\non paperwork. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Grant\nbreakdown \u2013 FAA $922,222.00, COAR $69,000. And City $7,777.00 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Used CARES ACT of $30,000\nreceived from FAA for COVID plus $34,000 from City Tourism funds <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Creswell was successful in getting a 2020\nGrant for Emergency generators<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nCOAR – $150,000, City $16,666.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Creswell has applied for five 2021 COAR\nGrants \u2013 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will possibly fly some folks\n(veterans) if we can get YE insurance. Pat will check into this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next Projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Work in progress \u2013 possible new\ndevelopment on north end which will include installation of an \u201cOrenco\u201d type\nwastewater system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paul Messer and his sons still have a great desire to fly.\nPat O\u2019Renick is allowing them to use his C-150. They are all hoping to attend\nmeetings again after the Covid pandemic is over. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gary Ludeke gave a quick overview of the Zenith CH-750 that\nhe has helped get into the air. It is now grounded due to a cracked spinner\nplate. He has put 21 hours on it at this point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ex-President John Kuehl would like folks to show up on\nSaturday, 11\/14 at 9:00 to help clean the clubhouse. It has gone downhill since\nwe quit meeting so regularly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was suggested by John that we have Pizza for dinner\nbefore our next meeting in December. He is going to provide it (with the cash\njar ready to re-emburse him) Come at 6:00 if you want Pizza, and 7:00 if you\njust want to attend the meeting. Next meeting will be at the clubhouse on\nDecember 12\/2\/2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n
