4th of July Creswell Parade. NEED A TOW
Tom Cunningham’s “Firestar” will be in the 4th of July parade promoting EAA 31 and Young Eagles flights later that day.
We NEED a tow vehicle. The plane and trailer together total around 800 pounds. A riding lawn mower or small pickup could do the job.
If you can supply this need please contact:

Not ANOTHER work party!
Yup. Tomorrow afternoon 1:00 PM April 1st we’re gonna tackle the OUTSIDE of the club house.
We have gobs of moss on the runway side patio that need to be pressure washed.
I will bring a pressure washer and some hose but we could use a 2nd pressure washer (plus more hose) and a “wye” adapter because I think we only have one hose bib – the one inside by the small bathroom.
We’ll also need some rakes to replace any gravel dislodged by the pressure washing.
Hope to see you there.
(this is NOT an April fools joke – we’re really doing this)

Runway numbers painting – volunteer opportunity!
Shelley Humble, Creswell Airport Manager writes:
Hello to all,
We have a great opportunity that is being presented to the airport – Oregon Pilots Association, Lane County Chapter, has been looking for a few community projects. They would like to re-paint the runway numbers and center line for 77S. Todd Hurt and myself have been working together to see when this project could happen – it appears that the either of the next two Mondays could work, with the 20th being the best for the volunteers. The tentative outline for the project is to start the painting at 8 am and be completed early afternoon.
Before we confirm dates, I would like your input – it is our intention to complete this project with as little interruption to the airport and it’s users as possible. Could you please email myself or Todd Hurt at your earliest convenience if Monday 20th would cause any of you a great hardship. Thanks

Todd Hurt adds:
Not to apply too much pressure but our volunteers are best set up for this Monday the 20th.
Another option would be to start at 8am, break for lunch and open the runway up for the one hour, then close it after lunch if needed. So a window to depart or arrive in the A.M. and at noon.
Also if there are any available volunteers from 77S, we should be able to speed the process up. As of now, I have 6 individuals for this Monday.
Regards.
