Meeting Minutes from the 8/3/2022 meeting

Meeting Minutes from the 8/3/2022 meeting.

President Rod Johnson, V.P. Eric Farry and Secretary/ Treasurer Randy Stout as officers were present when the Meeting started at 7:25 PM at the clubhouse in Creswell. There were 14 Members in attendance. Late start due to dinner not being quite ready on time, but it was well worth the wait!

Dinner was prepared by President Rod Johnson, Past President, Pat Dodson and Bill Dewey and consisted of a nice lasagna, French bread, leaf salads, Chips, Cookies and a drink- for $8.00!! Next month we may be having another Costco Casserole, so watch your emails for notice.

President Rod Johnson called the meeting to order. He asked for any old business:

Our airport manager, Shelly Humble made an entrance and gave us her report on the building activity that will be occurring this fall on the runway. It will be closed from August 29th to September 28th (although that date has probably changed too) There will not be any billing to hangar tenants during this time. The emergency generators that the airport has ordered are now here, installed and tested. She has several grants that will be funded this year and early next. The plan is to construct another row or two of T hangars, 2 new taxi lanes and have a bathroom in the building. They are receiving bids on a wastewater treatment plant (now on a hold for bids) for the new bathrooms. She has also been approached to host a wings and wheels show during the closure of the airport. Not sure that will work yet, so keep watching for updates.

Remember our monthly breakfast on the 3rd Saturday of the month. We need members to help make the fixings.  Walt Weischedel will bring his eggs and Bill Dewey will check on the rest of the supplies. The next breakfast will be on August 20th at the clubhouse starting at 9:00. Eggs, Bacon, Pancakes and Juice or Coffee for $8- a bargain!! See you there!!

The checkbook balance is now $1684.60

It was noted that the Stearman Fly-In will be Saturday the 6th at Cottage Grove. Also, Labor Day weekend will see the Great Oregon Homebuilt Fly-In also at Cottage Grove.

There being no other business, President Johnson adjourned the meeting and everyone went out to look at Randy’s new (to him) Super Cub, then over to Walt Weischedel’s hangar to look at the progress he and Alan Weider are making on finalizing the build on his RV-12.

There being no other business the meeting was adjourned at 8:30PM

Respectfully submitted,

Randall Stout, Secretary/ Treasurer
