EAA 31 Thursday July 11th PSAAC 10:30 AM
PSAAC stands for Puget Sound Antique Aircraft Club. EAA 31 will be hosting Lunch for the 20 to 30 planes (actually pilots and passengers) Planes will be displayed from about 10:30 AM until about 2:30 PM at Hobby Field, Creswell. We will have burgers, Dogs, Salad (maybe) and Ice cream for Pilots, Passengers, EAA 31 members and anyone else that wants to enjoy our $8.00 lunch. We need more than one or two chef/burger-flippers to make this a success. We will take turns to allow everybody participating to get a good look at the Antique Planes on display.
BTW we flew 63 Young Eagles on the 4th.

EAA 31 Wednesday July 3rd Pre-Young Eagles Meeting (The Day Before)
Our actual meeting will be at 7:00 PM, bit we will begin erecting the shade canopies around 6:30. (Weather permitting. Last year the wind did a job on the canopies)
We will do an overview on the new on-line sign up. Discuss Logistics, Parking, Loading zones, Safety, Crowd control, Food Vendor, and any other thing we need to anticipate.
Pres John
9:00 AM EAA 31 is going to have a clubhouse “cleanup” on Sat the 29th at 9:00 AM prior to our annual 4th of July YE flights.
We will load tables & chairs in a couple of PU trucks for EAA 1457’s Fly in and Photo shoot late Sunday June 30th. That will clear out space for easy cleaning. We will clean mostly do windows and floors and general cobwebs. If you have window stuff, please bring it. No breakfast – just cleaning. The more we have, the quicker we can finish. The chairs and tables will be back Monday July 1st.

Meeting Minutes from the 6/5/2019 meeting
EAA Chapter 31 Meeting, June 5th , 2019
The dinner portion of the meeting started at 6:00 PM hosted by Paul and Mai Messer. There was a wonderful Chinese meal with brownies and cake for desert and a drink for only $8. Don’t miss her next great meal!! Thanks Paul Messier and family!
The meeting started with the pledge of allegiance at 7:00 PM by President John Kuehl with V.P. Gary Ludeke and Secretary/ Treasurer Randy Stout also present. The business and entertainment portion of the meeting was called then to order. There were 18 members in attendance with no guests.
President John asked for help marking all chairs and tables with our “Chapter 31” mark so that he will feel comfortable loaning them to chapter 1457 for their event on July 30th.
Next Chapter breakfast is Saturday, June 15th. Come out to the clubhouse in the AM and pay $8 for an “all you can eat” breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, OJ, coffee and camaraderie!! Starts at 9:00 and runs to about 10:30 or so. Our volunteers for this breakfast are (hopefully) the same group as last time Tom, Bill, Rod and John, who will coordinate getting the breakfast ready to serve. Thanks in advance guys!
The upcoming YE event here at the clubhouse on July 4th was the next topic of conversation. We will meet on our regular meeting night of July 3rd to finalize the details. We will not have a dinner that night, so we will meet at 7:00. We will also discuss it at the Breakfast on the 15th with all who attend there. He asked everyone to go to the EAA YE web site and sign up for various duties and to make sure the pilots are covered with the background and flight time check.
He also noted that the Puget Sound Antique Aircraft club will be having a fly-out to Creswell on July 11th. EAA Chapter 31 will cook burgers and dogs from 10:30 or so until around 1:30 for this group. We need volunteers to help cook and organize. It should be a very interesting crowd with 4- Stearman, several N3N’s and approximately 20-30 aircraft. Don’t miss this fun event.
Bill Dewey then spoke about demo-ing the patio cover that was damaged by the snow this winter. Bill, John, Tom and Paul helped clean up the mess and pull the bad posts. The cleanup party did their thing on Saturday the 4th I believe. Thanks guys!!
With no further business, Paul Messier brought in the flight simulator that he purchased (for his very aviation minded kids) They proceeded to take off and land at Creswell Airport on the simulator, in between blowing up building, cars and themselves!! A very entertaining program that was quite an education for all of us as to the capabilities of Flight Simulators today. Thanks Paul!
With time running out, President John decided to forgo the showing of the Chapter Video this month.
There being no other business, the meeting was then adjourned at 8:30 PM
Respectfully submitted,
Randall Stout, Secretary/ Treasurer

Almost EVERYTHING You need to know about the new EAA Young Eagles Program.
ONCE you sign up you are good to go at ANY Young Eagle event (unless you change planes)
YOUR EAA “Home Chapter” gets the Y E Flight Credits, regardless of where the event is held.
You must be an EAA national member and have current Youth Protection Program status to fly Young Eagles.
Only 2 of the ground volunteers per event need to have current EAA Youth Protection Program status.
To sign up (for anywhere) without going through lots of tabs go directly to Pilot/Ground Volunteer at
http//:yeday.org/?yesignup and fill in your information.
After you have signed up as an individual, To sign up for an “event” like EAA 31 Young Eagles 4th of July, go to yeday.org and follow the instructions to volunteer yourself as a plane/pilot or ground volunteer.
Pairing YE with pilots, Printing YE certificates, etc. all better organized with the new system.
EAA 31 will be having a pre-event meeting on July 3rd (the day before) to go over last minute details and make individual assignment/responsibilities. We will meet at 6:00 PM at the EAA 31 clubhouse. This is especially important for the ground volunteers, but will be helpful for pilots too.
EAA 31 will be providing tables and chairs for EAA 1457 fly-in, Eat good stuff, Rub elbows other Chapters with and a Photo Shoot late Sunday the 30th of June. I will transport the tables. We will need another pickup for the chairs.
See me at the EAA 31 breakfast this Saturday June 15th re: chair transport.
